Start with the workflow
We like technology. We are just not interested in technology for its own sake.
DDR starts with the work people are already doing: the export that needs ten minutes of cleanup every time, the CAD detail nobody wants to rebuild, the submittal that disappeared into an inbox, the repetitive step everyone accepts because “that’s just how we do it.”
Then make the tool smaller
A useful solution does not always need to become a platform. Sometimes the right answer is a button that does exactly what you expected it to do. Sometimes it is a workflow that connects information your team already has. The scale should match the problem.
Keep professionals in control
Automation is excellent at repetition. AEC professionals are better at judgment. DDR products are designed to push routine work toward the software without pretending the software should make every decision.
Build for production
The test is simple: does the tool make an actual project day better? If it saves clicks but creates a new maintenance problem, we have not finished the job.
